Melia McAuley was the youngest of the family and everyone agreed she was exremely attractive. It was around the early 50's that it was noticed mela was acting very strange and eventually Mela had a nervous breakdown. It is assumed that in those days not much was done to help these problems. Melia was committed to Portran Hospital where she remained until her death around 1998. Mela is buried at the back wall in the small cemetary attached to the Hospital.
